New Year's Eve falls on a Thursday this year, and January 1 (Friday) is a public holiday — so the night runs late and the weekend follows straight after. Seoul's clubs count down at midnight and keep going until morning. If you want to be inside, together, when the clock hits 00:00, the safest way is a booked table: no queue at 23:30 and a place for the whole group. Here's how the night runs, what it costs, and which clubs we can book.

These are the clubs' printed menus. The minimum spend per table normally stays the same, but New Year's Eve is the night a club is most likely to set a special event minimum or table charge. If it does, we tell you the final number in writing before you commit.

Most do. Clubs in Gangnam, Hongdae and Itaewon generally count down at midnight and keep the party going until 05:00–06:00. Line-ups are announced on each club's Instagram closer to the date.
If you want to be inside at midnight, yes. Queues build quickly between 23:00 and midnight and the door can stop admitting when full. A table means no queue and seating for the group.
From ₩1,000,000 per table in Gangnam and ₩500,000 in Hongdae and Itaewon (a few Hongdae clubs lower), filled from the club's menu. Split across a group of 8 in Gangnam that's about ₩125,000 each. Some clubs set a special minimum for this night — we confirm the final price in writing first. No deposit, pay the club on the night.
Plan for it. Taxis are very hard to get right after midnight on New Year's Eve. Most groups either stay until the first subway (around 05:30) or wait until 03:00–04:00 when taxis free up.
At least three weeks ahead, earlier for groups of 8 or more — New Year's Eve tables go early.
